Outlook for Windows setup

Outlook for Windows reads mail over IMAP. Outlook itself does not support CalDAV/CardDAV, so calendars and contacts are synced with the free, open-source CalDAV Synchronizer add-in.

Note: Not sure which Outlook you have? If there is a File menu at the top left it is "classic Outlook" (Microsoft 365, 2021, 2019, 2016). The version with a "New Outlook" toggle at the top right is "new Outlook"; it does not support calendar add-ins, so use your calendar in webmail.

1. Add the email account (classic Outlook)

  1. File → Add Account.
  2. Enter your address, tick Advanced options → Let me set up my account manually → Connect.
  3. Choose IMAP as the account type.
  4. Enter the settings:
FieldValue
Incoming mail servermail.weblibi.com · Port 993 · Encryption SSL/TLS
Outgoing mail servermail.weblibi.com · Port 587 · Encryption STARTTLS
Secure Password Authentication (SPA)Leave unticked
  1. Next → enter your password → Connect. When you see "Account successfully added", click Done.
Important: If folders do not match (sent mail lands in a separate "Sent Items" folder), leave Root folder path empty under File → Account Settings → Account Settings → your account → Change → More Settings → Advanced. Outlook then saves sent mail in the server's Sent folder.

2. Calendars and contacts: CalDAV Synchronizer

  1. Close Outlook. Download and install the add-in from caldavsynchronizer.org, then open Outlook. A CalDav Synchronizer ribbon tab appears.
  2. Create an empty calendar folder in Outlook: Calendar → Folder → New Calendar (e.g. "Work Calendar"). For contacts: Contacts → New Folder (e.g. "Company Contacts").
  3. CalDav Synchronizer → Synchronization Profiles → + → Generic CalDAV/CardDAV → OK.
  4. Profile settings:
    • Outlook folder: the calendar folder from step 2
    • DAV URL: https://webmail.weblibi.com/dav/
    • Username: your full email address · Password: your email password (an app password if 2-step verification is on)
    • Email address: your email address
  5. Click Test or discover settings and pick the takvim calendar in the list → OK. You should see "Connection test successful".
  6. Repeat steps 3–5 for contacts: choose the contacts folder as the Outlook folder and pick the kisiler address book.
  7. Sync mode: "Outlook ↔ Server (Two-Way)" · Sync interval: 5 minutes recommended. Save with OK.

New Outlook (Windows 11)

  1. Settings (⚙) → Accounts → Email accounts → Add account.
  2. Enter your address → Continue → if asked for the account type choose IMAP.
  3. Show more settings: incoming mail.weblibi.com · 993 · SSL/TLS, outgoing mail.weblibi.com · 587 · STARTTLS.
Important: New Outlook syncs some IMAP accounts through Microsoft's cloud servers, which keeps a copy of your mail at Microsoft. If your company's data policy does not allow that, use classic Outlook or Thunderbird.

Troubleshooting

  • Password prompt keeps coming back: test the password in webmail. If you turned on 2-step verification, create an app password for Outlook.
  • Send error 5.7.1 / "sender rejected": outgoing authentication must be on: More Settings → Outgoing Server → My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
  • Calendar does not sync: send us the error message from CalDav Synchronizer → Status.
